The Miller Information Commons’ “Meaningful Books” series highlights Jeff Rutenbeck.
Tuesday, Sept. 15, Noon, MIC Vista Room
When asked for a bio, Jeff’s response was his usual: collaborative and inclusive. He says, “Please help me explore my subconscious mind as I examine my personal relationship with scholarly works (Lars Qvortrup, Raymond Williams, Rob Kling, Marshall McLuhan, and more) and the science fiction/fantasy creations of Robert Heinlein, Frank Herbert, Phillip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov, Orson Scott Card, Robert Anton Wilson (and throw in a little Thucydides and Emile Zola). Besides my affection and admiration, I’m not really sure if these works have anything in common . . . but let’s figure it out together!”
