NEWS: New Business databases!

Champlain College has just licensed two new databases that will be useful in business-related projects:

PrivCo:
PrivCo is the premiere source for business and financial data on major, non-publicly traded corporations, including family-owned, private equity-owned, venture-backed, and international unlisted companies.

Prendismo:
Prendismo offers over 15,000 video clips from experts broken into 200 topics, specifically focused on business, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Both databases are now available through the library website. (Hint: If these two new databases don’t appear when you go to the “Article Databases A-Z” or “Article Databases by Subject” pages, on the library website, be sure to refresh or “reload” the page. Many browsers cache a copy of webpages, and you may be seeing an outdated copy rather than the latest version.)

On Thursday, October 20th the library is happy to present once again the 4th Annual Library Chili Cookoff.

The event is open to students, faculty and staff. Should you wish to pit your best chili recipe against others for eternal (chili-related) glory, please email aburkhardt@champlain.edu ASAP as there are a limited number of spots available.

In order to participate you will be required to:
  • Produce a medium to large sized pot of chili
  • Have it at the library and hot by 2:30pm the day of the contest
  • Have a container or crockpot that will keep it warm
I look forward to seeing you all in the library and sharing a bowl or two of chili with you.
