On Display at the Library: Champlain College’s Community Book Program

No matter what you do at Champlain, you can talk to someone else on campus about the book we’re all reading this year.

The 2009 Community Book is Standing Up to the Madness: Ordinary Heroes in Extraordinary Times by Amy and David Goodman.

New databases

It's a new academic year and several new full-text article databases are now available in Champlain's online collection. Check out the Databases by Subject lists to identify new resources in your area of study.

Relevancy ranking now in online catalog

When you search for books in Champlain's collection, your results will now be ranked by relevance. Try it out by doing a Keyword search in the online catalog.

NEWS: Catalog back online

The online catalog is functional again! The planned upgrade to the Champlain College online catalog system has been successfully completed. Thanks for your patience during the upgrade process.

NEWS: CATALOG DOWN TODAY JUNE 30

The Champlain College Library online catalog will be unavailable from 8:00 am on Tuesday, June 30 until 8:00 am on Wednesday, July 1 due to server replacement. This planned upgrade will allow for continued maintenance and growth of the catalog, but it means that the online catalog will be unsearchable during this time period, particularly the day of Tuesday June 30.

We apologize for the inconvenience. If you need to locate and check out books during the downtime, please let us know so we can try to help. No other resources on the Library website other than the catalog will be affected. We anticipate that the online catalog will be fully functional by 8:00 am Wednesday, July 1.

DISPLAY:Lake Champlain Quadricentennial

In celebration of the 400 years since Samuel de Champlain's travels to Lake Champlain, the Champlain College Library has created several displays for you to enjoy. We have gathered many wonderful books and artifacts which are on display in the Library main foyer display case as well as at different points on the first floor of the Library. Please stop by if you have a chance. Enjoy!

DISPLAY: MAY is "Get Caught Reading" Month!

Have you ever been caught reading? We hope so! The library staff was photographed in various places - yes we were caught reading and we want to share those pictures and the books we were reading with you. All month long there will be a display in the main library foyer display case of library staff pictures and the terrific books they were caught reading. If you have a minute stop by and check it out!
